At Iguazu, we have been exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to assist in marketing pharmaceutical products.

When looking at creating a website for our product we researched the different AI tools available that could help speed up this process.

Website wireframing & content

To help with wireframing we found an AI tool called Relume, this tool allowed us to put in a description for what we wanted our website to do and details about our product, it then generated a sitemap and wireframe for us. Within the wireframe the tool also generated content for the different sections on the pages. The sitemap, wireframe and content were all editable in the tool and allowed us to refine these further to our requirements, the tool still had some limitations to the changes we could make, but there was an option to export these as Figma files, which allowed our design team to then finalise the outputs.

Using traditional methods creating a sitemap, wireframe and content for a website of this size would have taken 1-2 weeks, by using the AI tool as a starting point we were able to cut down the time required for the creation of these to just 3 days.

Persona creation

We used AI tools to do real market research for our product, analyse the data and create personas for our product marketing. The following article details the process we went through:

Noxivision — AI-assisted market research and persona creation

Once we had created our persona profiles we used the AI image generation tool MidJourney to create images for these personas, these are the images of the people shown on this site. The AI tool was able to create these images based on the profile description, offering different options. Once we found images we liked for each persona we were then able to use a feature in the AI tool to put those people into different situations that matched their personas. These AI images could then be taken by the design team and refined to usable images for the website. Using traditional methods we would have needed to find models that fit the persona descriptions, arrange photoshoots and then have the design team edit the photos. Using AI we eliminated the costs associated with hiring the models, a photographer, equipment and shoot locations. The AI tool also offers you the flexibility to change the look of a persona or the situations that they are in at any point.

Website build

The build of this site was done entirely through the expertise of our team on WordPress and using AI Plugins.

Currently AI tools can help with coding, AI can provide snippets of code, check code written by the team and provide SEO assistance.

The AI space is constantly evolving and will one day have tools that can create websites, as with all AI tools we expect that this will still require experienced developers to then refine but could help save time and costs in the future.
